About the Property: The Little Big Wood Pond easement conserves approximately 19 acres of land along the south shore of Little Big Wood Pond (LBWP), preventing any future development. This easement adds to the more than 50,000 acres of already protected lands in the Attean Pond region, helping to keep the ecosystems in this region intact. There is an important wetland complex adjacent to Little Big Wood Pond that will benefit from this conservation, as will the water quality and fisheries habitat for species such as brook trout.
Recreational Opportunities: LBWP is accessible by water for hiking, hunting, fishing, and other traditional pursuits.
