About the Property: The Corner Pond lands feature large areas of mixed forests from hardwood ridges to softwood flats surrounding a remote pond. The lands are owned by The Nature Conservancy and FSM holds and oversees the Corner Pond Conservation Easement, designed to protect the special ecological values of the lands. The Corner Pond lands enhance the diversity of the region’s conserved forests, and are a great example of the special types of places that fit FSM’s criteria for ecological reserve protection within Maine’s working forest landscape.
