About the Property: Working with the University of Maine, Orono Land Trust, and the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the Forest Society of Maine helped to further the Caribou Bog – Penjajawoc Lands project, which spans thousands of acres of wetlands of regional and state significance. As part of this initiative, FSM holds three easements on lands owned by the University of Maine and managed by the University Forests Office: the Smith Farm Lot, the Pushaw Lake Lot, and the Sewall Lot (Perch Pond Woodlot).
Recreational Opportunities on Perch Pond Woodlot: hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing, paddling.
