Year Conserved:  2011 and 2015

About the Property:  The Nature Conservancy (TNC) donated two conservation easements on land that now constitutes TNC’s Leuthold Forest Preserve. At 3,360 feet, No. 5 Mountain offers an enjoyable hike and a panoramic view of No. 5 Bog, Attean Pond, and beyond. Made up of diverse natural features and wildlife habitats the properties contain the entire shoreline of Hall Pond and Upper Tobey Pond and exceptional habitat for Eastern brook trout, waterfowl, and wading birds.
