About the Property: Kennebago Forest CE, located in Stetsontown Twp, provides another link in the chain of conservation properties in the Western Mountains which include FSM’s 20,000 acre Boundary Headwaters CE to the north and numerous conservation projects to the east, south, and west totaling some 800,000 acres and growing. The property includes four tributaries to the Kennebago River – Bear Brook, Wiggle Brook, Sol Brook, and Otter Brook – as well as significant acreage encompassing their headwaters and watersheds. This forest is held in Fee and actively managed by the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust to “conserve fish and wildlife habitat and enhance climate change resilience.”
