Registered Maine Guide Talks Brook Trout

Mark your calendars! On October 29th, FSM will be partnering with Bangor Public Library to host a talk on Maine Brook Trout.
Bob Mallard is a registered Maine Guide, blogger, writer, author, and fly designer. He is an Ambassador for Epic fly rods, and on the Scientific Anglers Pro Staff. Bob was the Publisher, Northeast Regional Editor, and a regular contributor to Fly Fish America magazine, and is a freelance fly fishing and native fish conservation writer. Bob has fished in the Magalloway and can explain why conserving the region is so critical to brook trout habitat.
Registered Maine Guide Talks Brook Trout will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Laurence E. Crofutt Community Room. This event does not require registration. For more information, visit Bangor Public Library’s event page.

The selected facilitator will guide FSM through a collaborative and inclusive planning process that results in a clear, actionable, and inspiring strategic plan to guide the organization over the next 3–5 years.

FSM is looking for an Office Coordinator to join our team. This is a part time position that will provide critical support for Forest Society of Maine’s general office operations with a focus on assisting the executive team, including the President & CEO. The office coordinator supports all staff through a variety of critical responsibilities which creates a smooth working environment for everyone.
We’re looking for a self-starter who’s highly organized, has great communication skills, and can work as part of a team.

Bangor Beer Co. – 6:30 – 9 PM – Join Forest Society of Maine and Bangor Land Trust for a fun and friendly trivia night at Bangor Beer Co.! Trivia starts at 6:30pm! Test your knowledge of the outdoors, Maine wildlife, conservation, and more while enjoying great local brews and good company. Whether you’re a nature trivia nerd or just in it for the laughs, this is a great way to support local land conservation and connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
We will be setting up our tables around 5pm, so come by early to grab some educational materials or chat with us to learn more about what we do!
