About the Property: In 2026, FSM worked in partnership with the landowner and manager, three other organizations as part of the Magalloway Collaborative to conserve this 81,700-acre parcel, centrally located within a corridor of over 500,000 conserved acres of contiguous conserved forest spanning from Maine to New Hampshire and north into Quebec. This land conservation project maintains existing recreational access to the property’s lands and waters, creates new publicly accessible preserves, prohibits future development on conserved lands, and helps sustain the regional economy through continued forest management opportunities while strengthening protections for key waterbodies.
