The Forest Society of Maine is dependent on the generosity of individual, corporate, and foundation
supporters that recognize the importance of conserving Maine’s woods. FSM is the only land trust in Maine whose mission is focused solely on conserving the many values and traditions of forestlands in Maine. Thanks to steadfast annual fund support, FSM has helped conserve 397,000 acres of Maine woods and waters since 1984. Continuing annual fund support is critical; FSM does not receive funding for its operations from state or federal sources.
So, if you enjoy the Maine woods and want to give future generations the same opportunity, please join in supporting FSM’s efforts.
Last year more than 400 annual supporters, including more than 60 Director's Circle members, helped us to further forestland conservation throughout Maine. Thank you to all of these individuals, businesses, and foundations whose gifts allow us to fulfill our unique mission to conserve the many values of the Maine woods.
Our fiscal years run from August 1 - July 31, and this year our total fundraising goal is $410,000. Click here to see how you can help us conserve the traditional uses of Maine’s forestlands that serve as a cornerstone of the state’s character and economy!
