Bickford Hill:

In rural southwestern Maine on the New Hampshire border, a hillside of mature hardwoods, hemlock, and pines rises above scenic Bickford Pond. This land is protected by two easements totaling 194 acres, which were donated to FSM by Rinardo and Alice Giovanella in 1987 and 1 989. The Giovanellas have managed the forests on this property since 1940, and have developed a deep appreciation and love for the land, its wildlife, and its ability to produce high quality timber. The easements meet their goals of permanently protecting their property from development and ensuring that it can be permanently maintained as productive forest.
