Janice joined FSM in 2002 to expand FSM’s development program. She has a B.S. in secondary education from Bloomsburg University and has done graduate work at the University of North Carolina. She has 20 years of nonprofit development experience. Prior to joining FSM, she worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Maine. Her previous experiences with capital campaigns, prospect research and management, planned giving, donor relations, parent programming, and annual giving are all proving beneficial to her work at FSM. At FSM she manages all aspects of the annual fund, writes grant proposals, conducts prospect research, and coordinates all development related activities. In her tenure with FSM, she has been instrumental in initiating programs to expand membership and build community support for conservation projects and assisted with initiating and successfully completing the organization’s largest-ever capital campaign.
