Debsconeag Lakes:

In fall 2006, TNC approached FSM to hold an ecological reserve easement that they were interested in placing on their Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness property. The property has long been known for its rocky remote ponds, recreational opportunities and ecological importance. Given our prior commitments to oversee TNC's Katahdin Forest easement, which abuts this property on three sides, FSM worked with TNC to craft an easement that would meet their goals to manage the property as an ecological reserve as well as promote continued access for traditional recreational uses. |
