Boundary Headwaters:
 |
The Boundary Headwaters project comprises a 22,000-acre tract of forestland encapsulating the entire watershed around the headwater ponds of the Kennebago River. These lands connect with important forestlands in Canada, sustain a valuable flow of forests products, and provide habitat for many species of fish and wildlife and rare plants and animals. The Kennebago supports an important population of native brook trout that is valued by anglers and critical to Maine's brook trout management program. As with every FSM project, FSM and the landowner are working together to ensure that the easement goals are met |
